Individual Sports

Sport is all forms of competitive physical activity. Hundreds of sports exist, from those requiring only one participant, through to those with much more participants. Some people prefer team sports, while others prefer individual sports. I tend to agree with those who like the latter.

Competing alone means that everything is up to you, and only you. Unnecessary complications which are connected to other team members? Nonstop worries about your team members' readiness for the competitions? And the worst – losing because of your team members? Not in this case. Playing alone gives you total independence. You are the only one who makes the decisions, the only one who is responsible for doing everything to win. You have a better chance to maximize your talent and show it to the world.

All these advantages don't mean that everything is so perfect. Sometimes, it's scary to think that if you lose, you are the only responsible. Representing your country all alone is a very heavy load, and not all the people have the strong shoulders which are necessary to carry it. A win is the happiest thing, but a loss means that the only one who will have to absorb the media's bites(ww.) is just you. Sportsmen or sportswomen, who feel the same pressure as you, can cheer up each other and calm each other – something which is so important, (and) that you miss when you compete alone.

In conclusion, although there are disadvantages to individual sports, I think that it is still more suitable for me than team sports. To deal with the pressure, to win and to know that all the credit is yours… there's no price to that feeling.
Excellent!
