Dear Editor,

I have read Jeffrey Hartmann's responding letter to your article "Righting a Wrong", in which you discussed affiramtive action for woman. Due to his outrageous claims, I've decided to write a responding letter which reflects the reality as it truly is.

Mr. Hartmann wrote: "Today, women are equal to men in every sense – maybe even more than equal". I don't know about what Mr. Hartmann is talking about(phr.). Today, women are less equal than men in many areas. In the university, more men become doctors, probably because of the women's responsibility to the family, that stops them from developing their academic lives.

In addition, in most sectors, the public sector and business sector, representation of men in senior positions is much greater than that of women: ministers, judges, CEOs of firms and more.
In the military, there are a lot of jobs which are blocked for women and available only for men. Furthermore, in the same jobs women earn less money than men. And the list goes on and on.

It is true that in the past, women's social class was worse than it is now, but women's discrimination still exists. Maybe the final thing that has to be done to create social equality between the genders, is that parliaments will legislate laws that will protect women's rights and class. Perhaps after that, we will finally be equal.

Sincerely yours,

Marry Poppins(please find a more conventional pen-name)

Very good work.
